FREE: Is Washington still visiting Duke

Duke was one of the first schools to offer Indianapolis (Ind.) Franklin Central wide receiver Donald Washington last spring and the 6-foot-1, 180-pound wideout scheduled a January official visit to Durham last month. But there aren't many spots left in Duke's class and the Blue Devils recently received a verbal commitment from another wide receiver.
Washington confirmed that his Duke visit, which had been set for this upcoming weekend, is now off the books.

"I think they filled up at receiver," Washington said. "It was kind of a situation that they weren't going to tell anybody no if I was going to keep them waiting. Some guys committed before I did and there's no longer a spot. That's the way it is."
Washington did take his first official visit this past weekend though.
"I just visited IU and I'm going to Illinois on the 21st," Washington said. "I really liked it at IU. That's really all I have, and Toledo."
Washington, who has a 3.4 grade point average and 19 ACT, said he didn't have any favorite schools.
