Duke announced its full non-conference slate for the upcoming men’s basketball season Thursday morning.
It’s highlighted by games against five programs that have been mainstays atop their respective conferences — Kentucky, Arizona, Kansas, Auburn and Illinois. That’s two SEC, two Big 12 and one Big Ten program.
Duke’s season, Jon Scheyer’s third at the helm, begins officially on Nov. 4 against Maine — the home-state team of top-ranked recruit Cooper Flagg. Other matchups against low- and mid-major teams are Army, Seattle, Incarnate Word and George Mason.
The ACC schedule has not been released yet, but matchups have been. Duke plays North Carolina, Wake Forest and Miami twice (home and road); Duke plays California, Florida State, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Stanford and Virginia Tech at home; and Duke plays Boston College, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Louisville, SMU, Syracuse and Virginia on the road.
