Asack told Duke Sports Information that he was suspended for plagiarism. The would be starting quarterback will be eligible to return in the summer of 2007.
Head Coach Ted Roof also confirmed the dismissals of wide receiver Deon Adams, safety Andreas Platt, and offensive lineman Joe Suder.
All were dismissed for violating team rules.
Devils Illustrated will investigate the ramifications for the 2006 season of all of these developments later this week.
