Shelden Williams Saga: Not Enough Evidence

The Shelden Williams story has taken what some consider being a positive twist. According to a published report out of Columbus, Ohio the police investigation has not yielded any evidence to charge any of the young men involved with a crime.
We have spoken to a number of people regarding the functionality of Ohio state law in this case and have learned that it is usual practice for the police to give the victim one week to "cool off" before confirming that he or she wants the investigation to continue.

TDD has also spoken with our sources in the Midwest, many of which were invaluable in our recruiting coverage of Williams. All of them reported that this is one of the biggest stories in recent memory. One highly respected source said "This has been the lead story on the news for a few nights. Not just the top sports story, but the top story."
The Duke admissions staff has requested a meeting with Williams to get a full account of the story in order to review his application.
TDD will continue to follow this story as additional news is officially released.
