Randolph Named North Carolina Mr. Basketball
In what was a surprising close race, Shavlik Randolph has been named North Carolina's Mr. Basketball- the top honor for individual players.
The 6'10 future Blue Devil became Broughton's all time leading scorer, averaging 28.4 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 4.2 blocks per game as a senior as Broughton advanced to the Eastern Regional semifinals.
Randolph has also been named to the McDonald's All American Team and was named Co-Conference Player of the Year along with Eric Williams. Williams, who is bound for Wake Forest, finished second in for the top honor.
