Trinity Catholic small forward David McClure has ended his recruitment by choosing the Duke Blue Devils. The 6-foot-6 wing picked Duke over Notre Dame among others.
McClure, who has been recovering from a bout with mono called head coach Mike Krzyzewski last night around 9:30 to give him the good news.
Though he was unavailable for comment early Tuesday morning, a family member confirmed that the choice was indeed Duke. "He's been sure about it for a while now, I think it was sealed in his mind when he went to that tournament [Gibbons Tournament of Champions] earlier this week."
McClure, who is ranked as a four star prospect and the 48th best player in the class, becomes the second member from the class of 2004 to pick the Blue Devils, joining 6-foot-3 scorer Demarcus Nelson of California.
