Duke prepares for Navy

The first day of the Federal Government's shutdown, when ESPN said there was a chance the Armed Forces would not play their games, some of Duke's players wondered if they'd even play on October 12, according to senior Dave Harding. But coach David Cutcliffe said the day after the shutdown that there would be a game and Duke (3-2) has prepared accordingly since.

"What impresses me about Navy is just there intensity on every single play and their discipline," Harding said. "That's something that you would expect from a service team but these guys do it exceptionally well and bring intensity on every single play. But in terms of scheme, they don't present any new problems (defensively) like their offense might for some teams."
