That is one of the prettiest lies I've ever read. The country/society has never provided for all and never will. It's impossible to do so.
As for the GOP nomination? Ron Paul is the only candidate I would vote for and that is partly due to him being the most honest and "un-politician" like candidate. I don't agree with him on everything, but whether it be Obama or any GOP candidate nothing is going to truly change. Those who control the nation will always protect themselves first and no politician (Dem or Rep) will want to fully change that. Nature itself doesn't take care of everyone...no way a government with greed and corruption from the local to federal level ever will.
I'm not a fan of Obama, but there is no way in hades I would vote for Newt or Romney. I like Dr. Paul and he will get my vote even though I know he won't win.
Actually, at this point in time it is quite clear to me that we will get four more years of Obama. Den called it earlier in this thread. When Jindal and Christie declined to run that pretty much wrapped it up. None of the current GOP crop have a snowballs chance in hell of winning a general election against Obama.
And No America has not ever provided for all. The only thing America provided for all was the 'American dream' and the American dream is based on hard work and the chance to build something from nothing on your own. Nothing is free and there have always been the haves and the have nots in this country.
