Rodney Hood's decision is finally in, and the former Mississippi State wing has decided he will continue his college career with the Duke Blue Devils.

Hood, who officially visited Duke last week, went on record praising the Blue Devils' program, its tradition and legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski. Though the 6-foot-8, 205-pound guard was also very interested in Ohio State and held a strong relationship with the coaching staff and former AAU teammate LaQuinton Ross, the long-time Duke fan felt Krzyzewski's system was the best fit.

The rising sophomore averaged 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists in his first year at MSU and established himself as one of the top young players in the Southeastern Conference.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Hood will have to sit out the 2012-13 season before he can join the team on the court. He will be allowed to practice with the team, however.

Hood's decision to attend Duke gives Krzyzewski and his staff their second addition to the 2013 recruiting class, as he joins Texas high school guard Matt Jones in the haul.

Hood will have three years of eligibility remaining after he sits his mandatory season.
