Distance working against ISU for athlete
West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer athlete Bradley Wallace has been taking in scholarship offers and reacting to the different schools showing him attention. With summer turning to fall, though, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Wallace is starting to determine what factors will be most important to his decision and it may not be good news for out-of-state schools.
A two-star prospect according to Rivals.com, Wallace holds offers from Iowa State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Rutgers and Louisiana-Lafayette. The two schools he is waiting on most to extend an offer, though, are Miami and Florida State. He was on the phone with one of those two schools last week.
"I talked to Miami," Wallace said. "They were just talking about getting tape. I will probably put together about five games."
When it comes to Iowa State, Wallace has concerns that could preempt his optimism over early playing time, but he still plans to give the Cyclones coaches a chance to sway him.
"I'm not really interested in them (because of) the distance away from home," Wallace stated. "I'm going to put them on the visit list, though. We talked about (an official visit), but it's not been set yet. It will probably be towards the end of the season."
