Hot shooting, stellar defense leads Duke in rout

Devils Illustrated CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Duke threw its knockout punch to North Carolina with the first basket of the game Saturday night. From that point forward it was all Blue Devils, as they cruised to a 69-53 victory at the Dean E. Smith Center.
The Blue Devils took their first possession off the tip and went directly to senior Mason Plumlee. He did exactly as his head coach wanted him to - attack the basket. The result was the first two points of the contest.
Mike Krzyzewski's intentions for his team were to feed the ball early and often to his big man, but plans change. And Seth Curry was the cause of the game plan adjustment.
