Duke's focus on defense set the tone Saturday

Devils Illustrated DURHAM, N.C. -- Mason Plumlee had a friendly message for Maryland's Alex Len at center court just before tip-off of Saturday's 84-64 romp of the Terrapins. The intent, however, was to set the tone for his own teammates more than a pregame session of trash talking.
"I told him we'd let him have the tip and I told him we were going to go get a stop," Plumlee said with a grin.
When the ball was tossed high for the 7-foot Len and 6-foot-11 Plumlee to do battle, Duke's senior captain simply back pedaled into his defense stance. Maryland took possession of the ball and began looking to attack the Duke defense.
