Second half surge lifts Duke past Davidson

Devils Illustrated CHARLOTTE -- Duke rode its defense to a 67-50 victory over Davidson Wednesday evening, pushing the team's overall record to 13-0 before heading into Atlantic Coast Conference play this weekend.
As expected, the Blue Devils were faced with a determined Wildcat squad that kept the game interesting all the way to the midway point where the game was knotted up at 29.
The host Wildcats, however, were unable to carry its first half success into the final 20 minutes of action, where Duke began methodically taking Bob McKillop's squad out of the game with intense defensive play.
