Duke comes up short in Belk Bowl

Devils Illustrated DURHAM, N.C. -- Despite Duke mounting a furious comeback which saw the game tied at 34 with under two minutes to play, a Josh Snead fumble on second-and-goal from the 5-yard-line spoiled any chance of a Blue Devil victory in Thursday night's Belk Bowl.
Bearcats quarterback Brendon Kay responded on the next drive with an 81-yard strike to tight end Travis Kelce for the game's go-ahead score with 44 seconds left. The Bearcats would then return a Sean Renfree interception on the ensuing drive to seal the win, 48-34.
