Plumlee, Duke dominate FGCU at Cameron Indoor

DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke cruised to its third consecutive win to open the season Sunday with an 88-67 rout of Florida Gulf Coast University. But the game did not start of in a manner that indicated any kind of a lopsided victory.

The visiting Eagles, who already knocked off the ACC's Miami Hurricanes, took the floor at Cameron Indoor Stadium with confidence and an excellent game plan.

In fact, the Blue Devils were caught off guard by the Eagles' offensive approach and as a result it took the home team nearly 15 minutes to get a grasp on how to respond. FGCU kept the game close, leading as many as three different times in the opening half, including a six point advantage at the 15:29 mark.
